Escape to Kerry

The first stop on your Kerry journey should be the famous Ring of Kerry – a 180km-long driving route that encompasses some of Ireland’s most breathtaking scenery. Start off at Killorglin and travel through Sneem, Waterville, Cahersiveen and Glenbeigh before heading back to Killorglin again. Highlights include incredible views over the Skellig Islands, Muckross House & Gardens and the majestic MacGillycuddy Reeks mountains.

Next, take some time to explore Dingle – one of Ireland’s most picturesque villages situated at the tip of Dingle Peninsula. Stroll around the colourful harbour and spend some time exploring quaint pubs and restaurants serving up local delicacies. Don’t forget to sample some of the world-famous Irish whiskey too! Other must-visit sights include Staigue Fort – an ancient ring fort near Ballinskelligs Bay, Dunquin Pier (known locally as ‘The Sleeping Giant’) and Ventry Beach which offers miles of unspoilt white sand backed by crystal clear waters.

Don’t forget to explore Killarney National Park which boasts breath-taking lakeshores, mysterious forests and stunning islands on its famous lakes – Lough Leane, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake Lough Clooninee– not forgetting an array of wildlife too!
